Tonight is the beginning of the Jewish High Holidays, Erev Rosh Hashanah, in which we celebrate the new year, 5768.  One of the rituals of the season, though, is to take the days between the New Year and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, to ask people for forgiveness.  I’m sure when this was established, the great ancient rabbis were not imagining something as broad and impersonal as a blog, but I’m a Jew of the coming sixth millennium.  So I’d like to take this opportunity to ask forgiveness of anyone I’ve hurt, intentionally or otherwise (this means you) over this past year.  I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year.

Ok, so summer's over.  It's been a busy one, and I've taken a break from blogging, but I will start posting stuff soon - something about my trip to England, perhaps, or some sort of anticipation of upcoming gigs and recordings, or a review of the new Weakerthans album, or perhaps something completely unrelated.  No promises except for more word from me coming up.
